My Tango Calendar

We're getting ready once again for a wonderful tango summer, with its high point for Tango Mágico at the second edition of TANGO DEL MAR - ENCUENTRO DE ABRAZOS, drawing the summer to an end on August 26-28. 


This year we are delighted to host a great couple of teachers and dancers, Melina Sedó and Detlef Engel, who will be holding a series of workshops and a performance, while our good friends Theo (El Greco) Chatzipetros and Philippe Gonella and Tango Mágico's resident DJ, I, the undersigned (Ramona Budui), will be enchanting everyone with their choice of music for Tango del Mar's sunset/sunrise milongas.


Registration has begun, from Romania and abroad, and it makes us extremely happy to see how friends from all over the country and Europe cross count(r)y borders to join us in dancing the summer nights away in celebration of the magic of Argentine tango.


But until then many a month lie ahead of us and although time flies when you're having fun, and months will pass by in a heartbeat (and an embrace), we've thought of posting a list of upcoming neighbouring tango events of this spring, summer and autumn, which Tango Mágico is recommending, attending or organizing, and is warmly inviting you to join in. This list is by no means exhaustive and is subject to change according to any other events which may occur in the meantime.

Yet for now this is what it looks like:


-July 6-11 – Istanbul Tango Festival, Istanbul (Organised by El Encuentro)

-July 28-31 - Transylvania Tango Fest, Brasov (Organised by Studio Tango Nada Mas)
-August 1-8 – Black Sea Tango Marathon, Kaliakria, Bulgaria (Organised by Tango and Pepper Studio)
-August 26-28 – TANGO DEL MAR - Encuentro de Abrazos, Hotel Central, Mamaia (Organised by Tango Mágico)
-September 15-18 - Tango Fantasia 3rd edition with Javier Rodriguez & Andrea Misse, Bucharest (Organised by Tango Brujo)

Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this sun of ... Wherever we may be, may this year overwhelm us with the most beautiful nights of tango we've lived so far.

The best is yet to come. El tango te espera.

Propunere de excursie cu clasa

Pe 14 februarie la Bucuresti, mare inaugurare mare a unui proiect amplu denumit "Casa de Tango". http://casadetango.ayatango.ro
Este o initiativa laudabila, izvorata din sanul AyA Tango ;), si in cadrul careia se vor intampla multe si minunate lucruri de/cu tango, dar si alte arte: vor preda tango trei cupluri de dansatori/profesori si actorie un instructor, vor avea loc doua practici de tango pe saptamana, dintre care una sambata (in sfarsit!!!), dar si lectii de tehnica si alte evenimente... dupa cum ni se promite. Apetisant, nu-i asa?

Asteptam cu nerabdare deschiderea, in camerele alaturate ale casei, unui restaurant, bar, casa de oaspeti, biblioteca si cinema (de tango, fireste!), ca sa nu mai trebuiasca sa plecam acasa!

Ne bucuram nespus ca se intampla inca ceva in Bucuresti.

Avem la ce sa visam pana cand crestem mari si raspandim virusul in mai multe cotloane ale Constantei.

In fine, primul pas (de tango) va fi facut pe 14 februarie, iar noi vom fi acolo sa mangaiem podeaua pentru prima data alaturi de prietenii nostri. Acestea fiind spuse, va invitam cu drag sa va alaturati noua la petrecerea de casa noua din Bucuresti, unde fara nicio indoiala tangoul va gasi valentini si valentine pe gustul tuturor.

Pana atunci, va asteptam sa exersati arta seductiei prin tango argentinian (in pregatire pentru Milonga de peste 10 zile ;) ), maine la 19.30 la lectie si la 21.00 la practica, dar si saptamana viitoare, ca de obicei, miercuri si vineri.
